We’ve heard of couples tying the knot while skydiving, snorkeling, and even in full hunting camo, but while running a major race and sweating bullets? Hey, that’s a new one even for us.
According to Houston’s KHOU.com, runners Molly Johnston and David Upton decided the race was the place to be to say “I do” after five years of participating together. Friends and family gathered together at the 16 mile mark to watch the bride and groom exchange vows. They later finished the entire race to the sound of cheers from awaiting onlookers.
Not something we’d generally suggest, but hey, if this is what defines you as a couple we say go for it. After all, it’s your special day – who says you can’t wear a veiled ballcap and a tuxedo tee?
